Children (or adults) with Challenges – the use of water for recreation and therapy

While it can be argued that all children have challenges, this component of our work is focused on improving the lives of those who are physically or intellectually challenged. Recreation, education and therapy in and around water helps keep people healthy, safe and connected. If you are a person who is physically challenged, water can slow your movement, provide buoyancy and facilitate movement.

Building resilience, tenacity, perseverance, fitness and strength in the water has the potential to assist psychological, physical and emotional healing when skilled professionals use the primal properties of water for safe immersion. If you have or know someone who has a child with challenges then please put them in touch as we are currently with the NDIS to assess how aquatic programs can be funded.
